Robert Earl Burton
10 YEARS OF DAILY CARDS 1988-1997 1999 - 303 pages, hardbound. - $29
Since February 1988 Robert Burton has provided in the form of small cards distributed to his students, daily suggestions for inner work and angles of thought related to the Fourth Way System. This publication presents all of them as given between 1988 and 1997 in one handsome volume. With an introduction by Girard Haven on the right use of Mr. Burton's angles and an comprehensive Index.
From the Foreword As one reads the thousands of angles in this book, it is necessary for each reader to ask himself not only what does the angle mean but also when has he personally been asleep when this angle would have helped? What moments have I seen in myself of negativity, identification, imagination, features, false personality or feminine dominance in which this angle would have opened the way to the Work as perfectly as a key fits a lock? Unless one can answer these questions, one has not understood the angle, in the same way that one cannot understand a collection of tools in a museum without using them. They may be beautiful to look at, but they are of no use in solving the problems one meets in one's daily life
