Girard Haven
THOUGHTS
Based on the Teachings of Robert Burton
1995 - 66 pages, softbound

Now out of print, this selection of 11 essays became the core of the author's later published "Creating A Soul."

From the Introduction:
Girard Haven never attempted to assume the mantle of all-knowing objectivity, but rather tried to become himself, as thoroughly as possible, and to demonstrate his own approach to the work … In exploring his own subjectivity, in examining not only the Fourth Way ideas, but the personal "lens" through which he interpreted them, he achieved a more reliable and objective viewpoint.
In reading these essays, we participate in the process in which a man maps the boundaries of his own psychology. As that psychology is gradually revealed and understood, we are able to glimpse the mysterious residue which we have given the name of "the Self."
These essays describe the tools Girard has used and the attitudes he has sought to create in his pursuit to change his level of being. They are his gift to the Fourth Way …
